Patient A.I. Dental Implants

Replacing Old Dental Work

The patients chief complaint was “I want to get an implant and get rid of this partial.”

She came from the oral surgeon with an implant, but her tissue was very flat and steps needed to be taken to get a good result. A temporary crown was first made to condition her tissue into the shape of a tooth. After a month, a custom impression was made to capture the shape of her gum. A new crown was made and her tissue responded perfectly. The width of the space was larger than her other front tooth.

The new crowns had to be made a little wider because the patient did not want a gap between her front teeth. Her gum changed from a flat surface to realist tooth socket.

She was very pleased with the result.
